Refund & Revision Policy

We want you to be genuinely happy with your finished document. This page explains, in plain English, when refunds apply, how revisions work, and what to do if something isn't right — alongside our Terms & Conditions.

1. About This Policy

This Refund & Revision Policy explains how cancellations, refunds and revisions work when you order a CV, cover letter, LinkedIn profile or any other service from CVProWrite. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions and should be read alongside them. Our aim is to be fair and transparent — protecting your interests as a client, while also reflecting that professional writing time, once delivered, cannot simply be "returned".

2. When You're Eligible for a Refund

You may be eligible for a full or partial refund where:

  • You cancel your order before we have started writing your document, as explained in Refunds before work begins below
  • We fail to deliver the service as described for your package — for example, the agreed document type was not provided
  • We are unable to complete your order at all, for reasons on our side
  • You cancel partway through the process, in which case any refund reflects the work already completed, as explained in Refunds after work has started below

3. Non-Refundable Services

To keep this policy fair to both sides, the following are generally non-refundable:

  • A completed document that has been delivered in full, where all revision rounds included in your package have been used or the document has been approved by you
  • Express delivery fees, once express work has started, since writer time has already been prioritised and allocated
  • Add-on services (such as LinkedIn profile writing or cover letters) once work on that specific add-on has begun
  • Orders where the delay or issue was caused by late, incomplete or inaccurate information from you, rather than by CVProWrite
  • Refund requests made solely because a correctly written, accurate CV did not lead to an interview or job offer — as explained in our Terms & Conditions, no CV writing service can guarantee that outcome

4. Cancellations

You can cancel your order at any time by contacting us using the details in How to request a refund below. What happens next depends on how far your order has progressed — see the two sections below.

5. Refunds Before Work Begins

If you cancel before a writer has started working on your document, you're entitled to a full refund of what you've paid, processed back to your original payment method.

6. Refunds After Work Has Started

Once a writer has begun working on your document, some of your payment reflects time and work already completed. If you cancel at this stage, we will assess the proportion of work completed and refund the remaining, unearned portion of your payment. If your document has already been fully drafted and delivered, it is treated as delivered and is covered by Non-refundable services above rather than a partway cancellation.

7. Revision Opportunities

Revisions are usually the right first step if a draft isn't quite there yet, rather than a refund. Revision entitlement depends on your package, as described on our Packages page — some packages include one round of revisions, while others include unlimited revisions until you're happy with the result. To request a revision, reply with specific, clear feedback on what you'd like changed, within the revision window communicated to you when you ordered. We ask that revision requests relate to refining the content and presentation already discussed, rather than introducing substantially new career information, which may be treated as additional work.

8. Unsatisfied With Your Document

If you're not happy with your document, please tell us before requesting a refund — most concerns can be resolved through revisions or a conversation with your writer or our team. If, after using your available revisions, you still believe the document does not reflect the information you provided or does not meet the standard described for your package, contact us and we will review your case individually. Where we agree the service was not delivered as described, we will offer an appropriate resolution, which may include further revision, a partial refund, or a full refund, depending on the circumstances.

9. Payment Disputes

If you have a concern about a payment, please contact us directly first — we would rather resolve it with you than have you raise a dispute with your bank or payment provider. If a chargeback or payment dispute is raised with your card issuer or payment provider before contacting us, we reserve the right to pause work on your order and any outstanding revisions while the dispute is investigated, and will cooperate with the payment provider's process to resolve it fairly.

10. Refund Processing Times

Once a refund is agreed, we aim to process it within [Insert refund processing time, e.g. 5–10 working days]. Refunds are returned to the original payment method used for your order. Please note that once we've issued a refund, your bank or payment provider may take additional time to show it in your account, depending on their own processing times.

11. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, cancellation or revision, please contact us with your order reference and a short explanation:

We aim to acknowledge refund and revision requests within [Insert response time, e.g. 1–2 working days].

12. Policy Updates

We may update this policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes in our services or the law. The version published on this page at the time you place an order will apply to that order. Any changes will be posted here with an updated "Last updated" date.

13. Related Policies

This Refund & Revision Policy should be read alongside our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. For details of what's included in each service, see our Packages page, or contact us if you're not sure which package is right for you.
